Who runs the site

FruitFarming.org is operated by Jummas Organic Fruits Farm, based in Bangladesh. “We,” “us,” and “our” mean Jummas Organic Fruits Farm. “You” means anyone using the site.

What the site offers

General reference information about growing fruit: choosing fruit for a climate, planting, orchard care, soil and water, pests and diseases, organic growing, harvest, selling, and gear. Most of it draws on USDA agencies, federal rules, and university extension services, as our editorial policy explains.

The guides are written for people growing fruit in the United States.

What the site isn’t

Not professional advice for your planting. Reading a guide doesn’t create a relationship with an extension agent, a crop adviser, or any other professional.

Not legal or financial advice. Guides explain organic rules, quarantines, produce safety, and farm loans in general terms. Before you sign a loan, a lease, or a sales contract, get independent advice.

Not tailored to your site. The guides don’t know your soil, your drainage, your microclimate, or your local pests.

Not a pesticide label. The label on a product governs how it’s used, and that’s the law. Where the label and the site differ, follow the label.

Plant health and quarantines

The site isn’t an emergency service, and nobody monitors it for urgent questions.

Some plant pests and diseases are regulated, and suspected cases may have to be reported under state or federal rules. Moving regulated plants, fruit, or trimmings out of a quarantine area can be illegal. Following those rules is your responsibility.

For a sick tree or an unknown pest, contact your county extension office or a plant diagnostic lab.

Your decisions

What you plant, where you plant it, and how you care for it are your decisions, and your planting lives with the results.

Some mistakes are costly. A variety that doesn’t fit your area’s chill hours can bloom too early and lose its crop. Fruit trees planted in poorly drained soil often die within a few years. A misapplied pesticide can damage crops, people, and water. Most fruit trees take years to bear, so money spent at planting comes back slowly, if at all.

Check what you read here against product labels, your extension office, and your own conditions before you act.

We work hard to get the facts right and to show where they came from. That doesn’t make your decisions ours.

Pesticides and other chemicals

We publish no pesticide rates and don’t recommend specific chemical products. Some pesticides are restricted to certified applicators. The label, your state’s rules, and qualified local advice decide what you can use and how.

Food safety and selling

If you sell fruit, you’re responsible for following federal, state, and local rules on growing, harvesting, handling, labeling, and sales, including the FDA’s Produce Safety Rule where it applies. Organic claims require USDA certification unless a small-farm exemption applies. Guides describe these rules in general terms and can’t cover every state.

Land, water, and permits

You’re responsible for checking zoning, water rights, irrigation permits, and any other rules that apply where you grow.

Accuracy and updates

We check figures against their sources before publishing and fix errors when we find them. Even so, we can’t promise the site is complete, accurate, or current at every moment. Research is revised, rules change, and products are redesigned.

If you spot an error, tell us at editor@fruitfarming.org.

Content ownership

The text, charts, illustrations, and design of this site belong to Jummas Organic Fruits Farm unless a page says otherwise.

Material from government agencies, universities, and other sources belongs to its publishers. Product and brand names belong to their owners.

Some pages contain affiliate links that may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Purchases are between you and the retailer, under the retailer’s terms. Our affiliate disclosure explains how this works.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on it.

That includes lost trees, plants, or crops, lower yields or income, damage from pests, weather, or chemicals, the cost of plants, tools, irrigation, or land, losses under loans or contracts, penalties under any law, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Where the law doesn’t allow some of these limits, our liability is limited to the minimum the law permits.

Comments and submissions

Anything you post or send must be your own and lawful, and you give us permission to publish, edit, or remove it.

We remove comments that give pesticide rates, offer plants for sale across quarantine lines, promote products, or encourage ignoring plant health rules.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and continuing to use the site means you accept the new version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Disputes that can’t be settled informally will go to the courts of Bangladesh.

If you live where consumer protections can’t be waived by agreement, those protections still apply to you.

If one part fails

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
